Bianca Khoury – Studio Owner
Bianca Khoury has been part of the Turning Pointe family since the doors opened in 1996. She started her journey with Turning Pointe as a student and was part of the competitive dance team. While pursuing an International Business degree from Rollins College, Bianca spent her free time at the studio teaching and working in the office. It was then she realized her love and passion for teaching and inspiring younger dancers and knew this would be her career path. After graduating from Rollins, Bianca took over Turning Pointe-A Dance Studio in 2004. This will be her 8th year of ownership and she looks forward to seeing the business grow. While Miss Bianca loves teaching all styles of dance, her favorites are jazz and tap. Miss Bianca also has a strong passion for fitness and nutrition and hopes to continue to grow the new fitness program at the studio.
Cathryn Mae – Studio Director/Dance Instructor
Cathryn Mae has been at Turning Pointe since before the doors opened. After graduating Bishop Moore High School, she contined her education at Valencia Community College where she earned her AA degree while studying dance. She went on to UCF and studied Psychology and Criminal Justice and received her Bachelor’s Degree. Whether she is teaching ballet or musical theatre, Miss Cathy Mae’s enthusiasm for her students and passion for dance are apparent within the first few minutes of every class. She fell in love with dance at the age of five and now enjoys choreographing for her little ones at the studio and for her older students in local community theatres. She has worked on such productions as “Anything Goes,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” “Godspell,” “Into the Woods.” and “Alice In Wonderland” to name a few. She enjoys watching football, traveling, spending time with family and friends and the color Orange
But her favorite thing is to see her students’ hardwork pay off on opening night!

Lauren Killer – Office Staff
As a member of the Turning Pointe family for almost twelve years, Lauren is ecstatic to be working alongside such talented and charismatic colleagues. Lauren began dancing at Turning Pointe at the age of six and joined the STARS program a year later, eventually working her way up to Senior Company. Lauren is currently in her senior year at Lake Brantley High School where she focuses much of her time on her rigorous academic schedule and is involved in an array of activities including theatre, chorus, newspaper, and various honors societies. She enjoys Freddie Mercury, vegetarianism, and spending time with her supportive family.
Kristina Robertson – Dance Instructor
Kristina is so thrilled to be joining the Turning Pointe staff! She has been dancing professionally in Orlando and around the world, in such places as Istanbul, Taipei, and Beijing as a Magic dancer since she was 19. Kristina has even been featured in tv commercials and a reality show entitled “Becoming an Orlando Magic Dancer.” When not dancing or teaching, Kristina enjoys baking, crocheting, and basketball.
Angela Kenski – Dance Instructor
Angela has been with the Turning Pointe family since they have been open. First as a student, and will now be teaching for her fifth year. Her specialty is jazz, but loves every kind of dance. She has had experience with studio dancers, as well as high school dance teams. She has completed her AA at Seminole State College, and is now working on her Physical Therapy Assistant degree.
Bianca Nobel – Dance Instructor
Bianca has been dancing in and out of studios since the age of 3. She has trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Acrobatics/Gymnastics and various styles of Hip hop (Locking, Popping, B-boying, House, Voguing, Whacking, Wu-Tang, Old School, and Choreography).
Some of her performances include: The Nutcracker with The Sarasota City Ballet and The Miami City Ballet, back-up dancer for the opening act of a Jonas Brother’s Show, back-up dancer for Group 1 Crew, as well as many performances with Studio One Dance Company. She made her first appearance in a feature film as a dancer in “Renee.”
She performed with Studio One Young Beast Society on America’s Got Talent, performing in 6 episodes and made it to Top 10! She was also on The America’s Got Talent Live Tour, performing across the United States. Recently she has been Assistant Choreographer and Dancer for Fighting Gravity and even helped them with their return performance to America’s Got Talent in 2011.
Bianca has been proud to teach in the Orlando area for the past five years and has received awards for her work including Best Choreography at Encore Dance Competition 2010 and Odyssey Award for Choreography at StarQuest Dance Competition 2010. Her choreography has won Nationally at dance competitions, including Highest Score for Teen/Senior routine at a National Dance Competition.
Bianca holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theatre with a minor in Dance, graduating in May of 2010 from the University of Central Florida.
Kristen Murphy – Dance Instructor
Miss Kristen has been dancing for more than 20 years. A magna cum laude University of Florida graduate, she has won national dance awards and performed at competitions, trade shows and the Florida Fringe Festival. At UF, Miss Kristen was a member of Danza Dance Company in which she held multiple offices. In these roles, Miss Kristen enjoyed choreographing for and performing in UF’s premier dance company. Her passion for dance led her to compete in the Miss University of Florida/Miss Florida Gator Scholarship Pageant. In 2005, Miss Kristen won the title of Miss Florida Gator. She continued to compete in Miss Florida preliminary pageants, winning awards in interview, talent and swimsuit. In the summer of 2007, Miss Kristen placed fourth runner-up at the Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant. From 2006 to 2009, Miss Kristen taught dance at Starke Academy of Dance, where she won Judges’ Choice for Best Choreography at Encore Dance Competition for the Stars and the Regional Overall Choreography Award at Applause Talent Competition. Miss Kristen teaches Spanish and coaches Dance Team at Lake Highland Preparatory School.
Larissa Humiston – Dance Instructor
Larissa Humiston’s background in dance began in 1987 where she was a student of ballet and jazz in Syracuse, NY at The Bennett Conservatory for the Arts. Once in college at Stetson University, Larissa began her love for modern, lyrical and contemporary dance and continued with ballet jazz, tap and hip hop.
Ms. Humiston has been teaching and choreographing all ages since 2000. She coached two high school dance teams and choreographed for many theatre groups while in NY studying for her Masters in Social Work.
Ms. Humiston relocated to Central Florida in May of 2007 and founded Emotions Dance Company in August of 2007. She has won numerous dance awards, attended countless dance conferences, and has collaborated with artists such as, Damien Simon, Tod Caviness, J. Bradley, Curtis Meyer, Shannon Kortbek, Tisse Mallon, Jeff Wirth, and many others throughout her time in Orlando. Ms. Humiston’s work has been seen throughout Orlando and the Central Florida area, and focuses on social and environmental awareness.
